The power of storytelling: Reframing impact in community-academic partnerships

Institutions often rely on quantitative data to measure the impact of community-academic partnerships, but how do we capture the depth of transformative partnerships? JHU SOURCE, partnering with over 100 nonprofits in Baltimore City, launched an innovative storytelling initiative to highlight the lived experiences of our partners. Through recorded partner-to-partner conversations and community leader narratives, we elevate voices that reflect our guiding principles of community engagement. This session showcases how we co-create and share stories that embody the impacts that lie beyond the numbers of long-term partnerships. Participants will gain strategies to amplify community narratives to communicate meaningful engagement outcomes.
