The Coalition of Urban and Metropolitan Universities (CUMU) is pleased to be an Association Partner for Inside Higher Education’s US Universities Summit 2025. Transforming Disruption Into Opportunity, co-organized by Times Higher Education, and in partnership with Stevens Institute of Technology, will bring together key decision-makers from across the U.S. to explore the evolving landscape of higher education. Through in-depth and solution-oriented closed door discussions, institutional leaders will share perspectives on the opportunities and challenges shaping their roles.
This invitation-only event takes place October 13–14, 2025 at Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, NJ. The Summit brings together a select group of campus executives — including presidents, chancellors and provosts — to explore how disruption can drive institutional renewal. This exclusive event offers a rare chance to engage with peers, share strategies and shape new models for success.
The agenda will examine how institutions can navigate uncertainty with resilience — preserving their missions, protecting access and preparing for what lies ahead. We are proud that the following CUMU member presidents and chancellors are featured as speakers, including:
- Joe Bertolino, president, Stockton University
- Ann Cudd, president, Portland State University
- Eric Kaler, president, Case Western Reserve University
- Jonathan Koppell, president, Montclair State University
- Stacey Robertson, president, Widener University
CUMU is honored to partner with IHE on such an important event for our higher education leaders. As IHE notes, “this year has brought significant economic and political shifts in the U.S. and beyond. The need to adapt, innovate and lead has never been greater, and the responsibility to manage and ensure institutional stability falls on college leaders.”
