CUMU Conference registration includes conference programming, meals and receptions as noted on the conference agenda. Additionally, attendees can register for Pre-Conference Workshops and Community Experiences. Learn more about discounts and cancellation and refund policies.

Discounts
CUMU member group discount: 15% off registration rates when your institution registers 5+ people.
- Registering 5+ people on the same order? During registration, select 5+ tickets and the discounted rate will automatically apply.
- Registering 5+ people individually from the same CUMU member institution? Please email info@cumuonline.org for the Team Discount code.
- The discount applies to the registration ticket only and does not apply to Pre-Conference Workshops or Community Experiences.
- Tickets at reduced promotional rates (e.g., student rate) do not apply toward the group discount.
Discounted rates for students and community partners: Discounted rates are available for students and community partners. Before registering, contact CUMU headquarters at info@cumuonline.org to see if you qualify for a discount. Please note, the discount applies to the registration ticket only and does not apply to Pre-Conference Workshops or Community Experiences.
Discounted rates for Local Campus Partners: If you are an employee of one of our Local Campus Partner campuses — Lone Star College, Prairie View A&M University, University of Houston (main campus – Houston), University of Houston Downtown — you are eligible for a 25% discount off the early bird registration price. During registration, please select the appropriate ticket and register with your university email address.
Cancellation and refund policy
- By October 8, 2026, cancel your registration by emailing CUMU at info@cumuonline.org to receive a full refund minus a $100 processing fee.
- Beginning October 9, 2026, there will be no refunds.
- Substitutions are permitted any time prior to the conference with no transfer fee by notifying CUMU via email at info@cumuonline.org.
- Refunds will not be issued for no-shows.
Rates and policies are subject to change prior to registration opening.
Press policy
The CUMU Conference welcomes media representatives to cover the event. To ensure a respectful and professional experience for all participants, the following guidelines apply to all accredited press.
Identification
- Reporters must register for the conference.
- Reporters must identify themselves and wear official press badges at all times.
- Press ribbons or identifiers will be provided and must remain visible during the conference.
On the record / background
- On the record: Plenaries and keynote sessions are on the record and may be quoted.
- Background only: Breakout sessions and informal side conversations are considered background only and may not be directly attributed to individual speakers without consent.
- Attribution: Quotes from any session or individual require explicit speaker consent unless the session has been designated as on the record.
Recording and photography
Photography, video, and audio recordings must be approved in advance by the CEO or their designee.
Access
Certain events, meetings, or discussions may be closed to press; these will be clearly indicated by organizers.
Violations
Failure to follow this policy may result in immediate revocation of press credentials and may affect eligibility for access of the individual and/or their outlet at future conferences.
