The Coalition of Urban and Metropolitan Universities (CUMU) is pleased to welcome Lexi Velte, M.A. as communications and member engagement coordinator. In this role, Lexi will help elevate the visibility of CUMU and our 120+ member campuses while providing support for engagement across the international network.
Lexi’s professional experience in higher education includes content strategy, email and social media marketing, event coordination, and web accessibility. She most recently served as content & digital marketing coordinator at Florida Gulf Coast University’s U.A. Whitaker College of Engineering where she led communications and translated complex research and technical concepts into clear, compelling content.
Lexi joins CUMU at an exciting time marked by new members, new offerings, and a new strategic plan. “We’re excited to welcome Lexi to the CUMU team,” said Valerie Holton, CUMU CEO. “She understands how to tell meaningful stories in ways that are accessible, engaging, and mission-driven.
